Explore all Crofton Has to Offer
Crofton is a planned community in Anne Arundel County located 9.8 miles west of the state capital Annapolis, 24 miles south of Baltimore, and 24 miles northeast of Washington, D.C. The community was established in 1964 by the Crawford Corporation and named after the English town Croft-town. At one time, it was an exclusive gated community that required a country club membership to buy a house. Today, Crofton’s gates are gone.
Fun Fact: Crofton made national news in 2002 after a fish called the northern snakehead was discovered in a local pond. The snakehead species is highly aggressive and voracious. There were several movies inspired by this incident, including Snakehead Terror and Frankenfish.
If you’re looking for something fun to do in Crofton, throwing Axes at Chill Axes is a local favorite. You can bring your own food and drinks to enjoy while you discover who among you will be crowned the next axe-throwing champion. We’re not sure that a cannabis recommendation is a good idea for an axe-throwing party, but if you like living on the edge, pick up a mellow 1:1 CBD: THC vaporizer from Thrive and be extra careful with your aim.
Since we’re all about optimizing wellness, you must check out the Crofton Farmers Market. With over 50 confirmed vendors from the community, this farmers market offers a variety of produce, meats, dairy, bread, flowers, locally-made specialty food, collectibles, and crafts. Swing by Thrive on your way and grab a pack of prerolls to keep you balanced while you graze.
Are you ready for more fun? Good. Then it’s time to go bowling at Crofton Bowling Centre. It’s also time for some edibles from Thrive, so ensure you get the highest score.
